Dr. Patrick Walsh joined the Eberly Center as a Teaching Consultant in 2023. Patrick supports all instructors at CMU in developing their teaching skills and educational know-how. 

Patrick has been with CMU for almost 10 years, getting an M.S. and Ph.D. in Logic, Computation, and Methodology from the CMU Philosophy department, working as an Assistant Teaching Professor at CMU-Qatar, and now supporting the broad educational mission of the university. During his time as a faculty member, Patrick implemented alternative grading schemes, many inclusive teaching strategies, and conducted research on how ethics classes can increase student's sensitivity to ethical issues in business and computer science. He received the Meritorious Teaching Award in 2022, a student-nominated, but faculty awarded prize. Patrick received his B.A. in mathematics and philosophy from the University of Denver in 2012.
